Remarks
The protologue of Nephrodium terminans Hook. (1862)includes N. conionevron Fée (1850) and Lastrea malaccensis C.Presl (1851) as synonyms; the preceding 2 names render superfluity and illegitimacy to N. terminans. Hooker did not cite a type. Holttum cited N. terminans as a synonym, cited a type, and thus he inadvertently published A. terminans as a new species. Since he did not exclude N. conionevron and L. malaccensis from the synonymy, A. terminans was superfluous and illegitimate when published.
