R.J.F.Henderson, Contr. Queensland Herb. 16 (1974) 36 states Though specimens cited by Seeman (1863) have not been seen, it seems that his statement that he had seen S. oleraceum about Sydney is most likely based on plants of S. nodiflorum subsp. nutans or S. opacum.
