Published as: 'Maranta (Calathea) eburnea'. On p.199 of the same publication André discusses the difference between the genera Maranta, Calathea and Phrynium, providing a note on how the 3 genera can be distinguished. As the authors accept the genera as distinct from each other, they can not also indicate that they are synonyms. Calathea eburnea and Maranta eburnea are, therefore, considered by the IPNI editors to be published as an alternative names (which, prior to 1953, are validly published (Art. 36.3. ICN (2018)).
