Remarks
: “Solidago subsect. Venosae (G.Don) G.L.Nesom Phytologia 75(1): 9. 1993” exists as a valid infragenus name. Semple & Beck (l.c.) used “Solidago sect. Venosae (G. Don in Loudon) Nesom, Phytologia 75: 9. 1993” as an accepted name, cited the basionym “Solidago ser. Venosae G. Don in Loud., Hort. Brit. 348. 1830”, and thus inadvertently validated the name at the sectional rank.
