Locality
This fine tree is a native of Napaul, from whence the seeds were sent by Dr. Buchanan to the botanic garden at Calcutta.

Our drawing was made at the Comptesse De Vande's superb collection at Bayes-Water, where it flowered, near the window of the stove, in September 1814

Remarks

The species name and its diagnosis are together ascribed to Roxburgh's posthumous work, titled Pl. Corom. [protologue: HEYNEA irijuga; foliis impari-pinnatis trijngis, paniculis axillaribus longius pedunculatis. Roxb. Plant. Corom. inedit.]
