Remarks
The specific epithet honours Sonnette Krynauw (1962-2010), an employee of the Transvaal Provincial Authority's Department of Nature Conservation and afterwards with Mpumalanga Tourism & Park's Agency, who dedicated her life to protecting the flora of northeastern South Africa.
