Nomenclatural Notes
Status: nom. illeg. nom. superfl. Since the Shenzhen Code Rec. 23A.2 recommends avoidance of the use of the genitive and the adjectival form of the same word to designate two different species of the same genus and since Koeleria clarkeana Domin (1907) exists, Barberá & al. chose to avoid making the new combination K. clarkei and made the new name K. hookeri. Recommendation 23A.2, however, pertains to names of new taxa, and K. hookeri is not the name of a new species (The Code Art. 60 Ex. 23 treats Astragalus matthewsiae and A. matthewsii as non-homonyms)
