For the basionym reference, Lesica cited Artemisia lindleyana Besserin Hook., Fl. Boreali-Amer. 1: 322. 1833, which in turn has a reference to Bess. Monogr. Art. ined. cum. ic. (issued in 1842?). Lesica's reference to the 1833 publication is treated as a correctable error.
