The cited basionym reference of Maxillaria aromatica Graham is actually the reference to the later combination Lycaste aromatica (Graham) Lindl. However, under Lectotipo there is a reference to Maxillaria aromatica Graham in Hooker's Exotic Flora 3: t. 219. 1827, so Art. 33.7(a) (Vienna Code) applies and the name is validly published
