Archila (in Revista Guatemal. 5(2): 26. Nov 2002) invalidly published this generic name. In vol. 5(3), he provided a Latin diagnosis: Herba epiphytica vel litophytica; Lycaste Lindl. similie sed flos, viridis et fimbriate. Folia et ginostemium diferentibus.
