Remarks

Etymology: The specific epithet is derived from the word ta-ma-ni-tch which translates roughly to “plant” in the Yakama language. It honors the Pacific Northwest native peoples' extensive knowledge and contribution to the understanding of the natural history of plants in the genus Lomatium.
