Baker cites A. barberae, Deyer, loc. cit. fig. 122- A. zeyheri, Hort.; Dyer dedicates A. barberae Dyer to M.E.Barber and states I am unable to ascertain who is responsible for attached the name Aloe Zeyheri to the Transkeian species., either unaware she had done so, or unsure where she had gotten the name.
