Status: nom. inval. Deb cited Alseodaphne petiolaris Hook.f. (1886) as the basionym. Hooker f., however, published A. petiolaris as a comb. nov. based on Nothaphoebe petiolaris Meisn. (1864) (vide Vienna Code Art. 33.7 Ex. 20)
