On p. 563, Hallier f. mentioned stigma characters in a footnote and additional characters in the key couplets 15 (Corolla major; filamenta ... glandulosa-villosa) and 16 (Sepala exteriora non ...). In his subsequent publication, he (in Bull. Herb. Boissier 5(11): 1005. Nov 1897) linked B. trichantha with Trichantha ferruginea H. Karst. & Triana Jun 1857 (non B. ferruginea Hallier f. 1893).
