Nomenclatural Notes

(as xantusii)

Etymology: Froelichia xantusii is named in honor of János Xántus (often cited as L. J. Xantus de Vesey or John Xantus). Since Xantus possess a well-established Latinized form, xantusii is treated as an orth. error for xanti (see Vienna Code Rec. 60C.2).
