Nomenclatural Notes

Status: pro syn. Don cited Pinalia alba as a synonym of Octomeria spicata D.Don

Remarks

Etymology: Mark Watson [E; pers. comm.] checked Buchanan Hamilton’s manuscript and found that Hamilton derived the genus name “Pinalia” from the then existed Nepalese local name “Bun Pinali’ (not in use now?) for this taxon.
