nom. & stat. nov. for Sida angustifolia Lam. 1783 (later¹homonym; non Mill. 1768, nec Medik. 1783). Triana and Planch¹(Ann. Sci. Nat. Bot. ser. 4, 17: 172. 1862) also published¹the varietal name S. spinosa var. angustifolia. Type¹locality not known. [Gandhi; Fryxell, Syst. Bot. Monogr. 25:¹407. 1988]
