Status: nom. inval. Kitamura cited the basionym reference as: Chrysanthemum japonicum Makino (in Bot. Mag. (Tokyo) 23: 19. 1909). The preceding name itself is a new combination based on Pyrethrum sinense var. japonicum Maxim. [see Melbourne Code Art. 41.8 Ex. 20]
