Nomenclatural Notes
Status: nom. inval. For the basionym Utleria salicifolia Bedd., Venter referred to Benth. & Hook. f., Gen. Pl. 2: 743. 1876. Bentham and Hooker f., however, validated the genus name Utleria Bedd., but did not mention any species name. The basionym U. salicifolia was validated by Hooker f. (in Fl. Brit. India 4: 7. 1883). Ventor's error of the citation of Benth. & Hook. f., Gen. Pl. 2: 743. 1876 cannot be treated as a bibliographic error for Hook.f., Fl. Brit. India 4: 7. 1883 (Melbourne Code art. 41.6 does not apply here).
