Remarks
Greene cited “Eriitrichium glomeratum var. humile A.Gray, in part” as a synonym; he did not make any other comment or cite type. Although it is debatable whether Greene treated his Oreocarya humilis as the name of a new species or new combination, it is noted here that Greene and Gray used the same epithet and that Greene did not exclude the type of Gray’s varietal name. Therefore, O. humilis is accepted here as a new combination.
