Remarks
Although Poiret (pp. 500-506) authored the treatment of the genus Juglans, the name J. tomentosa and its diagnosis were ascribed simultaneously in a paragraph ending with 'Lam. MSS'. Under Art. 46.3, Ex. 24, ICN (2025), the correct author would be Lam. However, this name is followed by 'N.' (presumably, nob.), which can be taken as an attribution of authorship to Poiret. Compare with other Juglans (1798) names.
