This may be the same taxon as X. hastile Sm. ex Dryand. although that name was not validly published nor did Br. make a reference to Smith's name. 'Hastile' is a noun in apposition, meaning javelin shaft, and should not be corrected to 'hastilis', see: D.J.Mabberley's 'An inconvenient truth?
