Index Kewensis gives Hooker in Fl. Tasman. 2 (1958) 108 which is later than the above. Hooker states in the Fl. Antartica. 1 (1845) 93 H. Fraseri, MS., will be described in the Flora of Tasmania and then supplies a 3 line description. In Fl. Tasman. 2 (1858) 108 Hooker treats it as a synonym of Hierochloe borealis (Roemer & Schultes) J.D.Hook. Base name for Hierochloe redolens var. fraseri (J.D.Hook.) Benth.; Savastana fraseri (J.D.Hook.) Skeels.
