Remarks
Ascyrum stans Michx. ex Willd. (1802) is superfl. & illegit. for H. tetrapetalum Lam. (1797); A. stans Michs. (1803) is an isonym. Although Adams and Robson published H. stans as a new combination and based it on A. stans Michx., they excluded H. tetrapetalum from H. stans and treated both as distinct species; they thus inadvertently published H. stans a sp.nov.
