Remarks
as Lagenifera (see Bull. Sci. Soc. Philom. Paris 1818: 34. 1818). Bullock's proposal (in Taxon 15: 75. 1966) to conserve Lagenophora 1818 (vs. Lagenifera 1816) failed (see taxon 17: 329. 1968). Nicolson's (in Taxon 45: 341-342. 1996) proposal, however, to conserve Lagenophora from 1816 was approved (see Taxon 47: 872. 1998; 48: 376, 775. 1999).
