Remarks
Name based on Greek 'Meniscium' and -'opsis', like. The type species, M. lakhimpurensis, often has sori coalescent along arching cross veins (meniscioid). Published as a stat. nov. of Pronephrium C. Presl sect. Menisciopsis Holttum; see record to assess whether this name was validly published (if not, Menisciopsis S.E.Fawc. & A.R.Sm. was published as a new name).
