Remarks
Saint-Hilaire (Nouv. Bull. Sci. Soc. Philom. Paris 3: 192. 1812; J. Bot. Agric. 1: 61. 1813) assigned Hedysarum gangeticum L. to his new genus Pleurolobus, but he did not make the new combination P. gangeticus. Hiroyoshi Ohashi and Kazuaki (l.c.) listed Pleurolobus gangeticus (L.) J. St.-Hil. as an accepted name and provided a full reference to the basionym; their treatment validated the new combination.
