Remarks

doi:10.12705/673.4 The generic epithet refers to the morphological similarity between the flowers of Deluciris and those of the genus Iris. The fleur-de-lis or flower-de-luce is a stylized flower widely used as a heraldic and decorative symbol. Although lis translates as lily it is thought that it is an Iris flower that is represented. The authors chose to use a modified contraction of de-luce to name this taxon.
