Remarks
Voigt (1845) published L. ? alternans, Wall. (invalid); Kurz (1873), either deliberately or as an oversight altered the preceding epithet and validly published Limonia alternifolia Wall. ap. Voigt; Hooker chose to correct the 1875 epithet alternifolia to alternans, cited L. alternans, Wall, in Voigt Hart Calc. 139 (1845) as an accepted name and referred to Kurz in Joum. As. Soc. Beng. 1873, ii. 64 (L. alternifolia) (sic). Hooker's correction is unwarranted.
