Remarks
Ophelia trichotoma Wight & Arn. (1847-50) and O. umbellata Wight (1847-50) have equal priority. Although C.B. Clarke inadvertently validated the new combination S. trichotoma (based on O. trichotoma), and cited O. umbellata as a synonym, he did not establish the priority of O. trichotoma, because he could not make the new combination S. umbellata (Wight) C.B.Clarke (S. umbellata Ruiz. & Pers. (1802) exists; cf., Melbourne Code Art. 11.5)
