Remarks

Manfreda paniculata ... characterized by the presence of long-lasting leaves, paniculate inflorescences, and flowers subtended by a single bracteole—the latter a unique character found within the family Agavaceae and probably within the order Asparagales. Manfreda paniculata is similar to M. sileri, differing from it by the presence of a stem, bulbils, leaves fleshier and more rigid, larger marginal teeth, with long flexible spine-like tip, pedicellated flowers, and shorter floral tube.
