Lehmann (1856) referred to ‘P. fruticosa γ. tenuifolia Lehm. Monogr. l.c.’ (= Lehmann, Monogr. Potentill. 32. 1820); however, Lehmann (1820), in his treatment of P. fruticosa (p. 31), under the group ‘γ. foliis angustioribus densissime pilosis cinereis’ (p. 32), cited ‘P. (tenuifolia) Conspect Potent. herb. Willd. in: Magaz. der Gesell. …’; his (1820) citation is not construed here as a varietal name.
