Remarks
For their new combination Rhynchostele beloglossa, Dressler & N.H. Williams provided the holotype citation and cited the basionym reference as “Odontoglossum beloglossum Rchb.f., Bot. Zeitung (Berlin) 10: 368. 1852”. They included Amparoa costaricensis Schltr. (1923) as a synonym with its full bibliography, and the preceding name has a description in Latin. The cited basionym bibliography “Bot. Zeitung (Berlin) 10: 368. 1852” is an error for “Xenia Orchid. 2: 149. 1868.” Nevertheless, the intended new combination R. beloglossa is treated as validly published; otherwise, it would be a superfluous illegitimate new name for A. costaricensis (Shenzhen Code Art. 41.8(c) applies)
