Remarks

Heller intended P. ludoviciana as a comb. nov. based on Anemone ludoviciana Nuttall 1818 (nom superfl. & illegit. for Clematis hirsutissma Pursh 1813); although Helelr excluded C. hirsutissma from his P. ludoviciana, he cited A. nuttalliana DC. (1817) as a synonym, and this synonym renders illegitimacy to P. ludoviciana.
