Remarks
Wang (p. 510) published Clematis subsect. Hexapetalae (Prantl) W.T.Wang and cited C. hexapetala L.f. (= C. forsteri J.F.Gmel.) as the lectotype; on p. 512, he published ser. Hexapetale as ser.nov., provided a Latin description, and cited C. forsteri J.F.Gmel. as the type. He thus inadvertently published ser. Hexapetalae (Prantl) W.T.Wang.
