Remarks
The authors treated Spergula sativa Boenn. as nom. illeg. superfl. pro S. arvensis L. and based their name on S. arvensis var. sativa Mert. & Koch, considering the two names heterotypic. However, S. sativa Boenn. is legitimate and the basionym of S. arvensis var. sativa (Boenn.) Mert. & W.D.J.Koch
