Nomenclatural Notes
Status: nom. inval. Melchoir did not accept the name A. africana; he accepted Ternstroemia africana. Protologue: Es fragt sich nun, ob die Gattung Adinandrella zu Recht besteht, in welchem Falle die Pflanze Gossweilers den Namen Adinandrella africana Melch. zu tragen hatte, oder ob es sich bei den beiden afrikanischen Typen um Vertreter der Gattung Ternstroemia handelt. (= The question is if the genus Adinandrella is justified, in which case Gossweilers plant would have to bear the name A. africana Melch. OR if the two african types belong to the genus Ternstoemia.)
