doi:10.3100/hpib.v26iss2.2021.n1 Etymology: 'Los Chespiritos are local food serving establishments that have become an obligatory stop for anyone doing fieldwork on the Cerro de la Muerte'. The author 'first became acquainted with this species while visiting Los Chespiritos 1 as a college student. Their name derives from Chespirito, a Mexican sketch comedy show created by and starring comedian and actor Roberto Gómez Bolaños, whose nickname gave the show its title'.
