Remarks
The specific epithet means 'of the rogue' alluding to the Rogue River, a major feature in the range of the species. The river's name supposedly originated with French fur trappers, who regarded native Americans living along it as rogues. Latin pronunciation of the beginning 'sc' of scelionis is 'sh' as in shall.
