Remarks
Etymology: the specific epithet refers to the type locality of Osa, and the homonymous Península de Osa, one of the most plant-species-rich regions in the Neotropics. Osa derives from the Cacique Osa, an indigenous Boruca ruler who reigned in most of the territory that comprises the canton of Osa at the time of the Spanish colonization (english) doi:10.3100/hpib.v25iss2.2020. n9
