This name appears earlier, in Annot. Checkl. Ind. Pterid. 3: 262 (30 Dec 2020), where is was presented as provisional, in anticipation of future publication: 'Professor Liang Zhang… has kindly informed us and permitted us to cite… that it represents a new species he has described as Selliguea wusugongii Liang Zhang & Li Bing Zhang, Phytotaxa in press.'
