Remarks
The protologue lists fig. 11, but not seen in the article. Latin diagnosis: alba tomentosa in altera parte et margina serrata foliorum sunt sicut P. alba; sed folium non est lacerum, e contra margina affinis est P. davidiana vel P. glandulosa. [Populus x tomentiglandulosa T.B.Lee (1955) is a valid name. Kim (2017) treated the preceding name as “illegitimate” and published “Populus x tomentiglandulosa T.B.Lee ex M.Kim, hybrid nov.” and thus created an isonym; Kim’s citation of “holotype” (“6 May 1967, T. Lee & M. Jo 5042”) for the 2017 name is construed as an inadvertent neotypification of the 1955 name]
