(For more details see Do et al. 2015d).’ The cited ‘basionym’ A. dilatata itself is a new combination based on A. saccata var. dilatata Hook.f., and one may consider the proposed new combination I. dilatatum as not validly published (vide Shenzhen Code Art. Ex. 25). However, the citation of A. gourigangaica as a synonym would make I. dilatatum a validly published superfluous illegitimate name. In such cases (i.e., absence of the correct basionym), Art. 41.8(c)) and Ex. 28 apply, and I. dilatatum was a validly and legitimately published new combination.
