Note: the reference to the herbarium 'HNT' in the protologue is an orthographic error that should have been deleted. The specimen was supposed to have been placed at HNT but, because of CITES, could not be transported back to the USA. It was, therefore, lodged at OAC and assigned a number there [pers. comm. from H. Koopowitz].
