Kurz (1869) did not provide a description; his reference to the description of “Pandanus leram sensu Kurz (in J. Bot. 5: 185. 1867, non Jones ex Voigt 1845) validates the name P. andamanensium. The epithet andamanensium is a genitive plural adjective, but treated as a noun [vide Werner Greuter (B)]
