Island of St. Helena: Found indigenous among grass on rather dry, rocky situations over the higher parts of the south face of Diana's Peak.

Remarks

Protologue: LYCOPODIUM axillare. R.: Stems erect, simple, imbricated on all sides with numerous, glossy, entire, acute, subappressed, ensiform leaves. Capsules axillary, solitary, sessile.
