Hurusawa proposed Drypetes zeylanica as a new combination and cited the basionym as “Putranjiva zeylanica Müller Arg. op. cit. 444. (1866)”. However, Müller Argoviensis proposed Putranjiva zeylanica as a new combination, based it on Palenga zeylanica Thwaites (1856), and provided a Latin description. Since Hurusawa gave a direct reference to Müller Argoviensis’s Latin description, one could treat D. zeylanica as the valid name of a new species. Since Hurusawa intended to publish D. zeylanica as a new combination, his reference to Müller Argoviensis is treated as a correctable error to Thwaites, and the name D. zeylanica is accepted as the name of a valid new combination (Art. 41.8(d) applies)
