Remarks
Specific epithet as floride-phillipsae. Specific name honors: Floride-Phillips, wife of Walter Phillips. Holotype specimen (originally collected by Walter Phillips s.n. (in summer 1963) and flowered in cultivation in 1966 in Hawaii) housed at BISH became moldy and disintegrated (vide Moir 1969). Neotype data from the NT. label.
