Remarks
The species name T. macropoda Miki is based on a fossil type. The basionym is an extant taxon, mis-cited as 'T. manshurica Flerow var. bispinosa Flerow in Journ. Inst. Polytech. Osaka City Univ. Ser. D. Biol. 3: 20, 1952' (the correct page is 23, and this is actually a paper by Miki which attributes the name to Flerov and cites his 1925 publication). Nevertheless, the combination is likely valid under Art. 41.8, ICN (2018). Another non-fossil taxon (Trapa litwinowii var. chihunensis S.F.Guan & Q.Lang) is cited in synonymy.
