Status: nom. inval. Lobreau-Callen's intended comb. nov. M. rothiana was based on Gymnosporia rothiana Lawson (1875), which itself is a comb. nov. based on Catha rothiana Walp. 1842, cited by Lawson (St. Louis Code Art. 33 Ex. 11 applies).
